A composition of 200 words in Fengfeng Xiangtang Temple.

Xiangtangshan Grottoes are national key cultural relics protection units, which are divided into Nanxiangtang and Beixiangtang, about15km apart, each with a brick tower. Nanxiangtang is very close to Fengfeng City. Let's go to Nanxiangtang first.

Nanxiangtang brick tower is about 30 meters high, with seven floors, octagonal pavilion-style brick tower, which can be climbed inside, with a single eaves and a bucket arch under the eaves. The existing tower top is in the form of lotus base, and the seat should not be the original one. It is estimated that the original tower gate part has been lost.

There is an inscription on the inner wall of the tower that the tower was repaired during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, saying that the tower was built during the reign of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty. From the outside of the ancient pagoda, the tower bricks on the first and second floors are severely weathered, which is obviously different from the above floors. It should be an old thing before maintenance in Qing Dynasty.

Nanxiangtang Grottoes are divided into upper and lower floors. * * * There are seven caves. The Buddha statues in the grottoes are beautifully carved, but most of them are incomplete. Regrettably, many Buddha heads and statues have been lost overseas.
